Savanah Hill

Savanah Hill is an Indigenous artist born from the Six Nations Reservation in Southern Ontario, Canada. She went to school at Buffalo State College as an art and design major, until transferring to Arizona State University to finish her degree in painting and drawing. Savanah’s primary focus is in oil painting and charcoal drawing with some experience in sculptural ceramics. Her painting delves into the realm of surrealism with emphasis on the implications of color. Savanah considers her painting and drawing two separate facets of herself. The charcoal drawings of hers are gray scale with limited use of color outside of red, and explore the human psyche. Savanah’s paintings express insight into the subconscious while her drawing focuses on the lived human experience.
