Sadaf Alam

My name is Sadaf Alam. I was born in Pakistan and moved to the US as a teenager. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from the University of Cincinnati. After graduating, I worked at a bank for about a year. However, since then, I have been pursuing my passion for art and design. I am mostly a self-taught artist and have learned and applied many different techniques in art, ranging from traditional painting and calligraphy to digital art. I’ve also created multimedia artwork using laser-cut materials, often combined with traditional Islamic art techniques. I’ve had a solo exhibition of my artwork in Sedona. Additionally, I have substantial experience creating graphics, brochures, flyers, logos, and other media using the Adobe suite, with most of these projects being volunteer work for non-profit organizations. The one aspect of art I really enjoy is teaching it to others. I’ve volunteered my time teaching art to various age groups through these non-profit organizations. I also had the honor of conducting several workshops on Islamic Geometric Design at the Phoenix Art Museum.
