Who We Are

PHX BIPOC Arts exists to advance cultural equity by uplifting Black, Indigenous, and People of Color artists through access, education, and opportunity—building pathways for creative leadership, visibility, and sustainability within the arts ecosystem.

While centered on BIPOC artists, our work remains open and accessible to all creatives committed to growth, connection, and community impact.

Open Studio

Open Studio

Your space to explore, dabble, play and create!

Open Studio at The Monastery AZ is a creative space designed to give you the freedom to explore art on their own terms. Whether you bring your own project to develop and gather fresh ideas, or simply come ready to experiment with materials like acrylic paints, pastels, graphite, or collage, the studio is yours to use in the way that best supports your creative journey. There are no lessons and no pressure to create in a specific style—your process is guided entirely by your own intuition. Artists are on-site not to instruct, but to answer questions, offer feedback, and provide the encouragement you need to feel supported in your exploration.
